Hi, what are you looking for?

Not Perfect, But Chosen

If He has set the course in your life, be assured that he will fight for you, guide you, and help you finish it.

Some of you reading this are wrestling with the question, “Do I measure up?” You have made some mistakes and don’t feel worthy of God’s love. You feel like you have been called to something great, yet others have caused you hurt and ultimately left you feeling abandoned and betrayed. I am sure King David felt that way; after all, he was chosen by God, right? He was a heroic shepherd boy and the youngest amongst seven brothers. Still, he was overlooked and underestimated … sound familiar? Despite what others thought, God had chosen him to perform mighty exploits in His name. I truly believe he endured such hardship early on in his life to prepare him for the thorns he would face.

David dealt with a myriad of trials, from rejection by family and betrayal by his own flesh and blood, to exile by his mentor yet fierce enemy — King Saul. Yet, he was called to face all of this while the favor of God rested on his life. Sounds incredible, but it’s true.

Through it all, David never retaliated, nor did he seek revenge. Instead he stayed in the presence of God, which caused him to stay humble. It is fairly easy to find yourself in this story line. If you do, hold fast to the fact that God never intends for you to be perfect. His desire is never for you to trust in your own strength or abilities as you go through uncertain trials and storms.

If He has set the course in your life, be assured that he will fight for you, guide you, and help you finish it.

After all … You have been CHOSEN!!!!!!

Philippians 1:6 (NLT)
And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
